Welcome to Blurize! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Blurize mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Blurize is a mobile utility application designed to detect and blur faces or objects in your videos and photos.

Important: All media processing, including face scanning and video exporting, is performed 100% offline on your device's local hardware. We do not upload your media to any server.

Hardware Dependency

Because processing happens locally, the speed and performance of face detection, blurring, and video exporting will vary depending on your specific device's processor (CPU/GPU) capabilities, available memory, and the resolution of the media.

2. User Responsibilities and Conduct

By using Blurize, you agree to the following:

Lawful Use: You will use the app in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
Consent: You are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from individuals whose faces or likenesses appear in the photos or videos you process using the app, particularly before sharing those images publicly.
No Malicious Use: You will not use the app to generate or distribute illegal, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.
Intellectual Property: You retain all ownership rights to the media you process. We claim no ownership over your photos or videos.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Blurize may offer premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions, managed by third-party payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play) and RevenueCat.

Billing: Payments will be charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellations: You may manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase. We do not process refunds directly; all refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google.
Store EULA: For purchases and subscriptions made through an app store, your use of the app is also governed by that store's End User License Agreement (EULA): Apple Standard EULA · Google Play Terms of Service.

4. Advertisements

The free version of Blurize is supported by third-party advertising provided through Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

Third-Party Content: Ads are served by Google and its partners. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content of any advertisement or for any product or service advertised. Any interaction with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
Data: Ad serving may involve the collection of advertising identifiers and related data, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your photos and videos are never shared with advertisers and are never used for advertising.
Removing Ads: You can remove ads by purchasing a premium subscription.

5. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our data collection and use practices are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

BLURIZE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the face detection algorithms will be 100% accurate at all times, nor do we guarantee that the app will function flawlessly on every device hardware configuration.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OKAN ATABAĞ OR ANY AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP; (B) ANY INACCURACY IN THE BLURRING OR DETECTION FEATURES; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the app after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. However, if you are a resident of the United States or the European Union, you may also be protected by mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.
Informal Resolution & Arbitration: If you have any dispute with us, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute with us informally. For residents of the US, any unresolved dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
